Method
- Preheat oven to 350°F (176°C). Grease a 9-inch springform pan.
- In a bowl, cream together butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the sour cream and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Add eggs one at a time, mixing well each time.
- In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and milk, then mix into the wet ingredients.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
- While cooling, beat cream cheese until smooth. Add sugar and pudding mix, mixing until combined.
- In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream until stiff peaks form, then fold into the cream cheese mixture.
- Once the cake has cooled, layer cheesecake mixture on top and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight.
- For ganache, heat heavy cream and pour over chocolate chips until melted and smooth.
- Pour the ganache over the chilled cheesecake layer, spreading evenly. Chill again until firm.
- Slice and serve chilled, enjoying the layers!
